My SIL did jail time on her third. Cobb County. I guess county really does matter, alot. And Tuscaloosa is light on football player enforcement and punishment.

I've seen this thread on this board more times than I can count, and it always includes UGA supporters making wild and unfounded claims like this. I spent a summer in Athens when I was like 20 and I assure you I tried my hardest to do everything fun that could possibly lead to an arrest, and never got even close. So what's the talking point anyway- that the football players are actively targeted by the APD? Seems preposterous.

On a somewhat related note I went to high school with a guy who started for Auburn in the early 2000's. he claimed the cops had an agreement worked out with the coaches on DUI's. You can take that for what it's worth or accuse me of making it all up, I really don't care. That said, counting DUI's charged against players at all SEC schools through the years would be a fairly good way I think to gauge the climate at each of the schools. You've got close to 100 college kids on each team all coming from similar backgrounds. Unlike your more violent crimes which tend to occur in pockets, I think it's safe to assume SEC players drink and drive in somewhat proportional numbers.

not saying you are making shite up, everyone has their own story, but I managed a bar downtown, during this time, and the cops treated the players like shite.

Current police chief(I think, unless he has retired recently, used to be the point man downtown and he used to joke about busting players
