Just admit it, aggy, the UVa guy was a UT appointment giving UT a 6-3 edge.
The endowment is split 2/3 so that is a logical split (the same 2/3).

You mean the UT System which includes MD ANDERSON? You are a gigantic retard and a liar for pretending UT Austin has 2/3 whereas TAMU-CS has only 1/3. fricking Christ

You clearly don't have a clue about what UTIMCO is
Let me help you...
About UTIMCO
Created in 1996, The University of Texas/Texas A&M Investment Management Co. (UTIMCO) is the first 501(c)(3) investment corporation formed by a public university system and oversees the investments for The University of Texas and Texas A&M systems. UTIMCO oversees investments in a number of funds, including the Permanent University Fund, currently valued at $19.5 billion. Total assets under UTIMCO management now total more than $40 billion. Funds under UTIMCO’s management comprise the third-largest university endowment in the nation, behind endowments held by Harvard and Yale. The investment corporation is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors consisting of members appointed by the UT System and Texas A&M Boards of Regents.

So it IS 2/3 UT, 1/3 aggy?
Why then would anyone deny the board is split the same way?

Do you even know who is the Chief operating officer of UTIMCO
And don't make yourself look even more stupid by going off of their unupdated website
I'll give you a hint: every person affiliated with UTIMCO reports to an Aggie

An appointment is not the same as alumni or even loosely affiliated
You are even dumber than I imagined
These people are appointed based on money management skills
SOMETIMES they are affiliated with one university or the other
Goodness it's like talking to a 5 year old

They should play. We play USCe every year even if we are in different conferences. Same with FSU and Florida, Louisville and UK.
Pathetic this historic rivalry died over revenue sharing squabble.

So, are we inviting UT and OU into the SEC yet? Y'all and aggy belong together.

Mr Harris looks to be well-qualified. But he serves at the pleasure of a board comprised of 6 UT, 3 A&M.

Well, interesting thread. As an Aggie who lives outside of Texas - both are wrong. A&M is being flushed down the tubes by people like Sharp who is turning it into a diploma mill, and Texas is run by Texas state legislature, or dildo-waving whackos. Not an improvement
Both are irrelevant on the National scene, and will be for the foreseeable future. I sent my children elsewhere, because neither matters outside the borders of Texas

Who in the hell ever heard of assets split 2/3-1/3 and having a 50/50 board of directors.
Go sit at a table at Lubys, stew, then go home and go to bed, you old fart.
