Mond throws multiple picks, gets shell shocked, Hubes inserted....Starkel takes over rest of season Mond transfers

No future qb for us

Sound familiar? Hoping the staff has learned and is smarter now...

Let's just face the facts. We have 2 freshman QBs (one true, one RS) and a freshman currently redshirting. More than likely one of Mond & Stark will transfer. If Mond secures the job (ignore the Bama game) then Stark is looking like he'll be shopping his services. We should expect Mond to be the guy for the next several years. Next year we will have Fortin next year and Gunnell after that.

In 2018 Mond is the man, Blumrick is the backup, and Fortin is redshirting.

I'm not convinced Starkle will transfer. He wasn't the ultra highly recruited guy that Murray, Allen, or even Hill were. I don't think he will have a huge variety of options especially if he doesn't want to go too far away. He will have basically an equal or better opportunity to get in the field here by being one play away. That's assuming he's not back before the end of the year and he gets a chance to play his way back on the field.

He won’t though. Mond will have to play his way out of the job.

Or Mond gets hurt, look at our recent history at Qb. 2012 and 2014 are the only years we played the whole season without a guy getting hurt. So the odds Mond doesn't get hurt are 50/50 at best

Fair. Mond will either have to suck a lot or get hurt. Otherwise Stark is sitting on the bench with his yellow cap.

I would put this as a 0% possibility. Sumlin's going to ride with Mond rest of the year as it'll be an easier story to sell for him to keep his job. Starkel doesn't have the same upside.

I'm bearish on this team but am excited to watch Mond play and grow the rest of the season.

0% chance of Starkel playing this season.

He broke his ankle.
