From what I have read, they approached him. He bit.

Steven Leath believes the men's basketball program's associate head coach acted alone.

Yeah. He may have been the only AU person involved but it is absolutely clear now that he did not act alone.

Tomorrow we’ll find out he had administrators from UGA and Florida with him on other occasions. The Rifleman wrecking the SEC.

Auburn always goes "All-in".

He's facing 80 years in prison. He's going to talk to the Feds. Whether that extends to them asking about anyone else being involved at Auburn or whether his defense attorney brings it up as a defense are both unknowns right now.
Damn near every AD with someone on the hit list (for lack of a better term) needs to watch what they say. These coaches aren't hardened criminals and likely had no clue they were committing an actual crime -- they will squeal like stuck pigs. It's just a matter of what actually comes out.
The best thing that could happen for the universities with coaches involved would be for everyone in the entire picture to either make a deal or plead guilty so nothing comes out but that won't happen.

He was charged with fraud because he was working alone, as far as Auburn University goes, and was committing fraud against Auburn University.

Yeah, I'm sure a guy like Bruce Pearl has absolutely no knowledge of this kind of stuff
You realize that Bruce actually has a history of turning in cheaters for paying players, dont you?
Bruce has never even been implicated or rumored with any cause of paying recruits or doing anything illegal inolving money and recruiting?
Bruce got in trouble because he had a BBQ at his house, which is a minor incident, but he lied about where the BBQ happened to protect players and thats why he was personally punished.
If any fanbase should be worried that their HC might be implicated in all this, it's Bama with all of Avery Johnson's ties to the NBA and agents.

Chuck may go to prison, but that is doubtful. The FBI has filed their charges, there will be a plea deal. The real question is how many other schools are involved and is the NCAA going to investigate them all.
