It makes me sick to my stomach. The fact that he had the nerve to do what he did at AU makes it almost unbelievable. Did he honestly believe he'd never get caught? Was the risk worth it? No sense at all

Yeah... person wasn't a college basketball "lifer" like most assistant coaches... probably made him an easier target.
Bottom line is he was willing to risk everything over a few thousand dollars... it makes no sense.
