Losing their starting QB has demoralized FSU, who did not play with the same intensity against NC State as they did against Bama. Being off for an extended period of time only exacerbated this issue.

I disagree to an extent. Everybody brings their very best against Bama but they were still aggressive. NC State just did a good job countering it. FSU also moved the ball pretty well but consistently stalled in close. Fumbled at the 2, missed a FG, Personal foul with the ball inside the NC State 5, etc.

Huge problem. The new QB needed that cupcake to get his feet under him.
