You're going to be calling for Tua before the season is up.

Dat boy good. He should be the starter.
Tua to Jeudy for the next two years is
worthy for Alabama's opponents

Tua is too good to sit three years and only have one chance to impress the NFL scouts. Hurts is too good to be beat out by Tua though. Wouldn't make sense to bench some with the record Hurts has. I really think Tua needs to consider his future.

Tua is the real deal and so is his brother.
Brother is a righty QB and plays in 7A, largest classification in AL.

No one knows what the future holds. Transferring to a lesser program is a big risk in itself when you have guaranteed starter time in your senior year under the best coach in America, and a chance to start other games before then as well barring injury or Hurts' game going to hell.

Tua will have 1-2 years as the man, and that's assuming he doesn't beat out Hurts this season or next. He isn't going anywhere. That said, I really would like to see us develop a role for him in our offense, if not this year than next.
The great news for us, and the terrible news for everyone else is that if Hurts bogs down in the passing game like he did late last season, we can bring in Tua and open things up. Basically pick your poison. We have QB's that can beat you both ways.

T^2 knew exactly what he was getting into... that Hurts was a true freshman.

Much better passer. I think everyone on the team and staff, including Hurts, knows what he is capable of throwing the ball and they will use it when necessary.

Brother is coming to Auburn.

Hi iglass. Nice to "see you".
Honestly, I don't think Tagovailoa will sit on the bench 3 years to play one. I think, though, that he'll continue to improve this year and start by next season, if not by the end of this year. Hurts still can't read defenses, check down to secondary receivers, and hit the intermediate and long ball consistently enough to sustain a passing game that the good defenses have to respect.

Normally I disagree with you Huddie, but by next year I think we'll have a real QB battle on our hands. Tua isn't ready yet. He doesn't have the patience or composed nature that Hurts has, and he is more likely to get sacked in general just because Hurts can escape better, but if he gets more and more experience this year, it could be time to pull the trigger on Tua.

He will if they are late with the check like last time they were in this situation.

He give's me Manziel vibes and I don't like it.

If he doesn't beat out Hurts next spring, I'd love to see him redshirt his sophomore season so he could have two years left after Hurts graduates.

Honestly, given how those two plays developed, I don't think Hurts would have ever thrown either pass. I think he would have bailed out and tried to get what he could get on his feet.

I am praying Tua gets a lot of snaps prior to November and we have somewhat of a two QB system. One to keep both happy and two what Tua did while it was great watching him use his feet in the pocket to avoid pressure and keeping his eyes downfield, was against a beaten team. The OL was phenomenal and I hope it is a result of them coming together and not because Vanderbilt has a high school front. If our OL can play like that the rest of the year it doesn't matter who the QB is, there is not a team in CFB that could beat any team that has a front that blocks like that. That said I am afraid that was an anomaly because I have not been impressed with the OL all year. I loved the game plan though with running between the tackles and only throwing when it was in our favor to throw.
