Why not say winning record since 2015? That dont work for ya
Or ya know.. why not say all time record? Oh because tennessee has that?
So tennessee has the current streak, and all time record but you try and fit some random years in to fit you :)

Unless you are administration or a coach and actually make changes to the team no sense in worrying about it. Pull for your team and hope they win.

If falling on the sword to UGA expedites Lyle's departure, then I hope UGA breaks it off in us. It will be a perpetual nightmare if he somehow goes 8-4, plays in the Dick Cheese Bowl against another slow plodding team of whites and makes it to 9-4. The narrative of us being the only team besides Bama to win 9 in a row 4 years straight and win another bowl. frick this.

The horror of winning 9 games.

The horror of realizing that there are people who think 9 wins a year is ok

Yep. 8-9 wins should be considered a down year at Tennessee

I remember when it was. Like the example I posted yesterday, Fulmer got run out of Tennessee (rightfully so) with a better 5 year record than what Butch is currently on pace for. And that was when the East was actually a good division with great to solid coaches (Urban, Spurrier, Richt, Brooks).
Now we have vocal REDS like oleyeller that have been tricked into thinking 8-9 wins per annum is something to be proud of and we should support this horseshite product.

I think a lot of people who are okay with 9 wins a season are younger people who have no real memory of Tennessee being successful at football. And I'm young myself, I'm 21 so I've never really witnessed a dominant UT team like the 90's but I've been exposed to Vol football my entire life so I know 8-9 wins every season isn't acceptable. Even in down years we should be challenging for the East. Also, I think the people who are okay with 8-9 wins have the mindset "at least it's not Dooley"

The horror of winning 9 games.
The horror of not going at least 5-1 in an extremely weak division. The horror of having a coach who has a .500 record....against Vanderbilt. The horror of knowing 9 wins and competing for the division just once every 4 or 5 years is your ceiling. The horror of watching the school honor on the field the 1967 national championship team and knowing the buffoon you currently have on the sidelines will not even get you close to competing for one of those.
But continue to be excited about that scintillating 17-13 win over the great power UMass. Also realize we were a missed extra point on their part and a field goal that I'm not convinced we made on our part from having to go to overtime...with UMass...on our home field.
Derek Dooley had a similar escape game, when we beat that other powerhouse in Troy, 55-48. 2 games later, Vanderbilt whipped us and Mr. Dooley was shown the door.

Im 34, ive seen us at our best, and worst. Fact of the matter is college football has changed since were dominated. More teams are recruiting at the same level. The whole landscape has changed. Would i like to be 12-0 every year? Sure, but the reality is saban isnt knocking on our door. Show me a team that playing year in and year out at the level alabama is? No one... with exception of an urbam meyer team or harbaugh turning a program in a 180, none of which are walking through that door. I have seen us at our best and worst, and we are more likely to bring in another dooley as we are a saban. I would much rather 8-9 win seasons than 5 win seasons. You people cant accept reality. If you want to spend all football season. Miserable and complaining, by all means go ahead. But i wait all year for 12 football games and will enjoy each game as they come.

Nah, it's the date the series turned in UGA's favor. That's why it was chosen.

2015: UT 2-0
2010: UT 2-5
2000: UT 6-11
1990: UT 14-11
1980: UT 15-14
But yeah, I can definitely see why a 2 game lead in the series would seem like we're your bitch, fricking retard.

No you haven't...you obviously weren't there for Johnny Major's inaugural season...or his second season.

Yes...but every team in the FBS spends less on recruiting than Tennessee...so they are getting more for their money.

Those aren't the only two options.

The reality that we aren't an elite program anymore? I think many accept that as reality, and that is what they want to change.

You have a great point...if you lower your expectations, then you are much less likely to be disappointed. Which is why:
Bama should have stuck with Shula;
Clemson should have stuck with Tommy West;
Oklahoma should have stuck with John Blake;
Washington should have stuck with Ty Willingham...hell...he never should have gone to Washington because Notre Dame never should have let him go.
