In the past, our players would spend all week reading headlines and listening to Sportscenter. Then go to Knoxville to play an inferior team and completely shite the bed.
I've bought into the hype too many times. We will see next Saturday whether the culture has actually changed. We need to go up there and kick the shite out of them.

Mississippi State had some of that tonight. Gonna have to guard against it. One of the benefits of a fresh coaching staff.....a complacent comfortable staff is more likely to let the noise get in than a staff still proving themselves.

If we lose a few games and you people start screeching. I'm gonna remind you of all your comments. Which you won't care about. But you care so much now. I'm not saying we can't do it. I'm saying we haven't. We will see in this game if the team is buying in. We should beat them comfortably

I agree with you. Any team can go and win a big ball game.
We've proven we have talent but the next goal in establishing a dynasty is performing with consistency, which takes time. Hopefully we have a mature team that won't buy into its own hype next week.
Knoxville tends to be a cursed place when we play up there but hopefully we can be mature, kick the shite out of them.
