Oh, I know fib...that argument raged back then, and I just couldn't see it.

Today, I do think that because JC doesn't believe in using the I-formation or even a traditional single back set more than 2-3 times a game, Sony is more effective because he just hits the hole and goes and uses his ability in space to get extra yards, whereas Nick tries to patiently wait for his blocks to materialize and then uses his vision to make the most out of the run. The problem is, running out of shotgun and pistol with a single offset back doesnt play well to Nicks strengths and he gets hit behind the line a lot.

That being said, I think Nick is also a back that needs to warm up. He has to get a lather going to be at his best and for whatever reason, coach cheeseburglar just doesn't believe in letting him get that lather.
