If there's another one coming, I'd like Les Miles to become the Minister of Propaganda & Mis-information. Won't know what hit'em.

FIFY. I've driven down I-16 enough times to know that the only thing separating the 165 miles between Macon and Savannah and Mississippi are man made lines on a map.

No wonder we haven't recovered. We get our feelings hurt pretty easily when ignored

Georgia is Mississippi with the luxury of a major city for the rest of the state to hang its hat on. Fact.

Also great mountains, a beautiful coast and a beautiful old coastal city.

So, not exactly, but generally yes without Atlanta Georgia is lumped in with Mississippi and Alabama.
