The blackout doesn't mean a thing....its like a hype video that plays on the video board before the game begins. Its only supposed to add to the event, like extra icing adds to a cake, but if the cake is a wet turd, putting icing on it won't help it at all, and just seem ridiculous.

The team at a minimum should be as fired up as they ever will be at home games. Doesn't matter if they lose all their games, doesn't matter who the opponents are. They are on their home field with a passionate screaming fanbase in the stands there to support them. The game environments will never be more in their favor than at home games.

So the team comes out and lets the opponent out-effort them and be the more aggressive team in the gmae. Its why our team has always lost to the East Carolinas, the Citadels, and the losses to odd opponents in our best years: The other team wanted it more than we did. That's the most unacceptable way to play the game...

The flamethrowers must've heard there was a blackout for the game, and thought it meant them too.....
