Still, shows that Gus has had success through the air before.
The crazy thing is, as co-Offensive coordinators at Tulsa, Herb Hand and Gus Malzahn led the #1 offense in college football two seasons in a row. In 2007 they had a 5000 yard passer, and in 2008 were #5 in passing yards per game and #3 in passing efficiency.... Yet somehow since they've been together at Auburn we've had some of the worst passing offenses I've seen at this level. Its insane.
Makes you wonder what the hell happened.

If you view Todd as an anomaly since 11TDs were vs Furman (4), Ball St (5) and LaTech (2) only 6 vs SEC
The real key is that Gus TD passes are typically down field throws Which Newton/Marshall excelled at. Hell Jeremy Johnsom even had 10TD in 2015 despite starting maybe 7 games and suckinf?
I'd bet that Marshall threw more TDs 25+ yards than less than 25+
