Penalties, bad play on both sides, special teams a mess, poor recruiting, attendance and booing. Barring a complete 180, does Sterk cut his losses this week?

This week? IDK, but I don't see how you can justify bringing him back for another yr...as you say barring a 180

Odom isn't giving him a choice.

Idk. He obviously pulls the trigger this year, but now? I'd imagine he'd have to have a plan in place to do that. We aren't LSU

This team needs a change. Pull the trigger, make Heupel interim, see what happens

Absolutely not! That's a bush league move and thought! No coach would ever come here again, and I wouldn't blame them!!

Coaches will come. We just have to hire a football coach. Not a moron.

Someone will come. We can pay 4-5M. The next coach has to be given a long contract with a hefty buyout though.

This will be no short term fix.

Yea pretty sure plenty of coaches would love 3-5 Million dollars and a chance to coach in the SEC

Odom is a bust, why waste the entire season.

This team is playing with zero heart. Zero. That's a reflection of the coach.

I would pull the trigger if not now, do it early to get a jump start on the search.

I used to be in the never fire a coach mid-season camp. However, coaches can see what a dumpster fire this is. It's not as if Sterk hired Odom and we're having a mediocre year. No coach would turn down the offer simply because of that. If anything, it shows the commitment to winning that the program should have.

If this becomes a blowout, then this is the perfect game to fire him. Let the interim coach have UConn and Idaho to try to build so momentum.

Maybe true, but no coach can be hired next week that would be any better! Good coaches already have a job! End of the year is when you fire him, and then the search begins!
Be careful giving the next coach a long term contract, and the keys to the Cadillac though. He may not work out either. Then what will you do?

Stop hiring guys who deserve a chance and hire someone that's actually had a winning college program?
