Over the past 3 seasons there have been 19 total CFP rankings released
Total weeks in the top 4
Alabama - 16
Mississippi State - 5
Auburn - 2
Ole Miss - 1
LSU - 1
Texas A&M - 1
Total weeks in the top 4
Alabama - 16

LSU - 1

Nobody cares unless you accomplished something and got there, of which only Alabama did. Everyone else that made this same thread today is coping hard.

More worried with breaking the AP record for most weeks ranked #1 all-time.
As it stands:
1. Ohio State 105
2. Oklahoma 101
3. Notre Dame 98
4. Alabama 93

If we manage to go wire to wire we'll break it. We seem like a lock to break it within a few years regardless, assuming Saban remains.

Sheesh, after hearing what a powerhouse Lsu football is by their fans, one would think they would be near the top on the list. Shocking!

Maybe there's a joke I'm missing, but I will answer you as if you are honestly asking the question:
The CFP rankings are the rankings that determine the playoff participants. In other words, after conference championship weekend, top 4 = in playoff, not top 4 = out of playoff.
