K State fans think they are walking into Vandy with an automatic win based on old history. Things have changed and Vandy is up to the task. Their defense is nothing to laugh at. Again, I picked Vandy in the upset and I'm not sure yet if it would be an upset. Go doors!

Even when Vandy has been bad in SEC play, the majority of the time they've been a tougher team to play than anyone gives them credit for. They used to (and do now) have some good defenses. Where they always had problems was depth and at the skills positions but several coaches there were smart and created depth via redshirting. That's no different from what K-State made their bones on and still does.

K-State has the advantage but win or lose Vandy won't be a pushover. They rarely have been despite some embarrassing losses and despite some lopsided scores. And when it comes to the end of year game against Tennessee they've ALWAYS played all out and mean as hell. I've watched a lot of football at Neyland but in terms of dirty, rotten, all out football play I've never witnessed more hate on the field than UT-Vandy. They play to kill us and more than once I've been convinced there'd be an injury to one or the other because of it.

With K-State talking so much trash and Vandy riding high. I expect the Dores to play hard.
