If Texas joins the PAC 12
But they would never do that, only A&M pull such a horrible move.

This is the issue here with the move.
Texas Ex's vs t shirt fan
Nevertheless there are more positive then negatives
1) PAC 12 owns its own network. The payout is not determined by ESPN or FOX
2) The growth of the SunBelt to the decline in the Rust Belt
3) Reaearch money in future industries
4) California vs Texas
5) The change in Texas' identity. Will Texas be forever linked to the South or will Texas be considered a Western state. I grew up in west Texas and lived in south Texas and found my lifestyle from where I grew up and lived to be more in common with the Western states than the Southern states.
The pacific states are very rural and like Texas once you get outside of th huge cities look and act very much like Texas and Oklahoma.
