But at least Ole Miss fans who travel to Berekley get to see a game in Strawberry Canyon.
Besides maybe Folsom Field, Husky Stadium and the Rose Bowl, California Memorial Stadium is an ideal location for a Saturday night football game.
Too bad the stadium is slighty crooked due to the fault line it sits on.

Afterall Cal just fired a coach for caring about football too much. Dykes upset the administration by asking them for more money
On the other hand the boosters and administration gave Ole Miss all the money it needed to finance a semi pro football team. Buying players forced Ole Miss to fire their coach by acting like a man having sexual relations with a woman is such a bad thing.
So if Ole Miss loses to a university that does not believe football is as important as collecting nobel prizes and creating elements for the periodic table would Ole Miss be banished by the SEC.
Afterall you can't have universities that buy players and still lose to non football universities.

Winless team.
Maybe because they didn't play BYU and Chattanooga.
Saying UNC is horrible is a stretch considering they played two P5 opponents.
Could have won both games.
Ole Miss will see on Saturday night if Cal is for real or not

What if Clemson is really not that good.
What if Louisville beats Clemson 41-13 this week.
It is not like we know who Clemson is yet. Afterall they have a inexperienced QB.
So that Auburn loss may not be so good in a few days if Clemson gets blown out
This hypothetical is a Big if of course. Comparing a QB in his 2nd start to Watson doesn't work.

Every year the PAC 12 and all other conferences are soft while the SEC is great.
I hate to inform you but besides Alabama your conference in 2017 has only one big victory. This was Tennessee over Ga Tech with Georgia Tech dominating the statistics.
This is if you not include UGA over ND. But like everyone of you say ND is no one
The SEC may look even worse when Ole Miss loses to Cal Saturday night

Pete Carroll for his short time in college football outperformed Nick Saban.
You may agree or disagree but saying that Saban at that time was better than Carroll would have been a stretch.
USC beat a better OU team the next year.
USC a year younger was still better than an OU team a year younger by 30+ points

Watch the 2003 Rose Bowl
USC/ Michigan
Michigan went into that game with a high powered offense and was completely embarrassed.
LSU benefited from the BCS. I think SC/LSU would have been a much better game.
Not saying LSU wouldn't have won but USC was clearly the best team after the bowls had finished.

I totally agree but for different reasons
No blue blood programs turns into a minnow and turns tail and run.
Once Nebraska ran away from the Big XII and blamed all their problems on UT and OU then their blue blood status was revoked.
Regarding the Big 8 I believe CU's ability to win in the PAC 12 disproves this now. I think last year it would have been different but CU is one of the Top 5 teams in the PAC 12 now.
Missouri winning the SEC East Title two years in a row

I remember the 1991 Gator Bowl
Ole Miss a decent SEC team that year was completely humiliated by Michigan.
I think Michigan won only like 35-3 but they put over 700 yards on them
Ole Miss coach Billy Brewer said that he never played a team that good ever

Sorry to burst your bubble but US News academic rankings have zero merit in the academic world
Let's just say that US News allows people to influence their decision
ARWU is the ranking in the academic world

You refuse to accept that any conference besides the SEC has ever been dominant in football when facts clearly state other wise.
Best example is that a Top 5 Bama team went into the Rose Bowl in 2000 and was clearly ran over by Deshaun Foster and UCLA.
Bama coming off a Sugar Bowl appearance was never the same again that year.
You can say that was a horrible Bama team but I say otherwise because going into that game Bama was Top 5 and full of confidence.

So the BCS rule that it had to take Utah didn't have anything with Cal being left out
2 at large bids with one already taken and the #4 spot being guaranteed makes it difficult when you have UT/ Cal.

Purdue was BIG champs with Drew Brees that year
Miami killed Florida in the Sugar Bowl that year.

You have to look at the OOC schedule and Bowl games for instance 2000
Washington beats Miami
Washington demolishes Purdue in the Rose Bowl
Oregon St demolishes ND in the Fiesta Bowl
Oregon demolishes Texas in the Holiday Bowl

Look at a similarity.
PAC 12'a decline started when SC got real good and dominant same with the SEC. The SEC's dominance ended when Bama became dominant in 2011- 2012

How far you are wrong.
I guess you missed the PAC 12 in the late 90's and early 2000's.
I have always said that the PAC 12 is the toughest conference because of the depth at the bottom.
Reason why all PAC 12 schools besides Cal have appeared in huge bowl games since the Bowl Alliance started in 95 I believe. Cal should have played in a BCS bowl in 2004 but because of Utah's undefeated season was pushed out.
The Big XII was top heavy and games against KU, BU and Iowa St were pretty much easy wins.
The PAC 12 in the late 90's and early 2000's and then the SEC from 2006-2011 were clearly the best conferences.
There may have been a few years when the Big XII was on top but never consecutive years.

How good is South Florida because a team that USF struggled with for most of the first half was totally destroyed in Austin
600+ yards to 150 yards.

What Defense is good and what Defense is not good is only based on your perspective
I may be wrong with you but I have noticed not many people on here watch football outside of the SEC.
You have no idea what Defense's are good and what defense's are not.
Of course you are going to say Bama, LSU and Auburn.

What about Arkansas' secondary.
I saw on ESPN Bowl projections they projected a Arkansas/Texas Texas Bowl rematch
I think Tom Herman and UT at this point believes they should be playing in a better bowl but if UT does play the Piggies in the Texas Bowl I would expect a total 180 reversal from a few years ago
With that being said why is an OU fan promoting OU but a Piggy fan promoting Team SEC

That is blasphemy on SECRant
Bama is the greatest and when Bama doesn't feel like winning anymore than Auburn and LSU wins.
But those three are the Holy Trinity of SEC Rant and they and they alone can bad mouth each other.
Don't you know the worst team in the SEC could beat the conference champions of every other power 5 conference.
