Maybe because I lived in Texas and understand college football in Texas even back to SWC days that I always respected TCU. The reason why is that the Horned Frogs was pushed out of the Big XII expansion by Baylor. Cougar High may have been the only school with a chance besides TCU because of the demise of SMU but TCU didn't whine and complain about being demoted. TCU went into the WAC and won, Conference USA and won and the Mountain West Conference and won. They forced their way back into a Power conference because they let the play on the field speak for their university. TCU should worry about SMU because SMU is much better than they have been and they want to bring you back down in a bad way.

You seem like good people. Nice talking with you. TCU should remain a strong program as long as GP is at the helm. After that, who knows with all the possibilities of conference realignments and successor coaches. I remember when TCU was terrible so these days are all a blessing. I actually would like to see SMU invest in their program in a serious way but I don't see it happening any time soon for various reasons. It is a shame because historically that was one of the better rivalries in the area.
