I know it isn't the hottest of takes but the idea that Hurts was pretty good as a true freshman with obvious rawness, has some improvements to make in accuracy and quickness of reads and was basically an incomplete game manager in Game 1 against FSU is............an acceptable analysis. He doesn't have to be the Heisman frontrunner or the worst QB in the SEC.

Are you fricking stupid!?

Just kidding. That's pretty accurate. It just grates me that, at Bama, we're in the position of having to groom youngster on the field. I'm sure Hurts will get better. Is he better than last year this year? I'm not sure yet. We'll find out, I guess.

Yea, it's definitely the most open ended question on the team right now. And probably the most season defining one. Everywhere else (even LB, with the injury losses) I feel like I have a pretty good idea of where we will be by November. QB is a bit of a toss up.
