That was a miscommunication. Something that happens frequently with true freshmen QBs. It was an area he clearly needed to improve on (like 99% of true freshmen QBs do).
Here is one of the few times he had no pressure and an open receiver down the field in game 1 of 2017

Love how you chose the game where he threw for 340 yards, 4 TDs, and then ran for 100 yards more and 1 TD as your baseline for making fun of him.
