You guys are giving Lanier shite -- and I don't know if he ever said >220# or not -- but the fact is there a lot of difference in what a guy who is 205# and one who is 185# can do at the point of attack over the course of a game.
Some are fricking with me. Some know I was right. Some agree and a few are just too stupid to keep up
This goes back to the discussion TigerPaw and I have been having all summer about recruiting. It has nothing to do with a specific weight or size. It is exactly what you just laid out.
TigerPaw gets it. he knows exactly what I have said and what I meant. He does not agree with me but thats cool. I get his opinion. Others are just not able to keep a coherent discussion without looking for a way to turn it
We need to recruit some bigger, every down backs. We have enough scat top backs. That is the basis....

I think he will be in Clemson this weekend.

I'm kind of frickin with you but I agree with your premise. I like having a Pettway/KJ dynamic. I view it as a better Dyer/Omac dynamic
As in we ideally should have a bruiser bell cow for 60-75% of carries w a "scat"/change of pace type guy. While I would prefer a 235+ and 205ish combo, guys like Tre Mason or Kerryon can pull it off (especially if they are 2nd option like KJ behind Pett)
What I'm disagreeing w is that having 3 guys who can be the bell cow, 3 scat backs should be plenty of depth
As for future recruiting we don't seem to like this thunder and lightning setup so that is weird
