They stole the helmets from Princeton, I am cool with that pattern because of Princeton.

That's a popular myth but it's not factual. The "winged" helmet was a stock helmet created by Spalding. Fritz Chrysler liked the helmet and used it at Princeton and he also used it at Michigan when he went there.

Ohio State, Indiana and Michigan State also used that design before Princeton. Michigan improved the design a
