Grain alcohol is very dangerous, be careful. LSU did perform better than Portland State, but you're reading way too much into that.

Just so you know. Do not believe any of the media hype coming around your team right now. Literally. None. You beat one of the worst Florida teams I've ever seen. Thier defense is worse than last year, offense is even wosre. Literally They may average 200 yards a game bad on offense. Michigan isn't very good thus year. You beat a bottom of the barrel sec team.

Well said (extreme sarc)

By the standards of this board, I am very liberal and have very strong feelings about guns. But this thread is not the place for that discussion. Thoughts and prayers for the Locksley family and may they somehow find comfort and peace during this horrific time. Let's leave the gun debate for another day.

I'm very conservative and I also have a strong (yet different) feelings about guns. The family is grieving and can use the thoughts and prayers of everyone. A gun discussion should never enter a football thread.

Your weird coach is just 2 losses from being fired. If he losses to OSU in 17 and 18. They will can his arse. No way he is allowed to start 0-5 vs OSU. 0-4 vs OSU he is done.

That's just stupid. There's no way that Michigan fires Harbaugh. He's rebuilt the program and gathered the best coaching staff in the nation. The real fans know that Michigan deserved the win last year and it was stolen by the worst officials in the game. Michigan will not lose this year and next. Even if they did, he's safe.

That's a popular myth but it's not factual. The "winged" helmet was a stock helmet created by Spalding. Fritz Chrysler liked the helmet and used it at Princeton and he also used it at Michigan when he went there.

Ohio State, Indiana and Michigan State also used that design before Princeton. Michigan improved the design and used it consistently.

Take it up with CFB Trivia.

What was the trivia question? Who had the toughest strength of schedule
a: Notre Dame
b: Florida
c: Gainsville High School

Then your "stat" might be correct. Other than that, there's no frickin way.

There's many different ways to calculate SOS and they'll all come up with different results, but none of them would come up with Florida that high. What is all time? Michigan started playing in 1879, Alabama started in 1892, Florida started in 1906.

Do you really think they have SOS rankings from those years? Are they weighted for "Quality" of the opponents? Most use some variation of Opponent Records and Opponents Opponents records. If they're not weighted then you can get a higher rating by playing a semi-decent MAC team over a much better lower ranked P5 team.

Just going back to 2010, do you think your SOS is comparable to Alabama, LSU, Southern Cal or many other schools? It's not.

quote:

And yet we're #2 all time in SOS behind Notre Dame.

Where did you dig that up? That's got to be the king of made up stats.

Florida owns a 27-game winning streak in season openers

That was mostly about scheduling. Every year was a FCS, Mac or other non power 5 conference to start the season.

Also, Florida hasn't left the State for an OOC game since 1991 (lost to Syracuse).

quote:

If Michigan loses to Florida but runs the table in the BIG 10 (which really isn't outside of the realm of possibility when you look at their schedule), they're in the playoffs.

Do you have a problem with their schedule.
Ranked toughest schedule by Bleacher Report
#3 By Athlon
#4 by Chat Sports

Home vs #2 Ohio State
@ #6 Penn State
@ #9 Wisconsin
Neutral #16 Florida

8 of their opponents were in bowls last year

If Maurice Hurst went to the NFL he would have been a top round draft choice. Rashan Gary was the only recruit ranked #1 by every ranking agency ever. They will both be first round NFL draft picks when they go.

Florida's old QB had 8 TD passes to 8 Int's. If he couldn't be beat out then the program would be in even worse condition than everyone else can see.

Just play the fricken game before they run out of players.
Game Details
When: Friday, January 1, at 1 p.m. ET
Where: Orlando Citrus Bowl, Orlando, Florida
Television: ABC
Live Stream: WatchESPN
Tickets: ScoreBig.com
Over/Under: 39
Spread: Michigan (-4)
You really think a QB playing his first game on the road in a stadium that seats 100,000 will be accurate? Michigan blitzes 70% to 80% of the time and they threaten a blitz on every down. The Florida offensive line has no depth and there are a few new starters. Martez Ivey is playing with an injury, what happens if he goes down?

Last year, only 3 opposing QB's in the first 9 games that Michigan played actually finished the game. This years team is playing their second season under Don Browns system and by all accounts they are faster and stronger.
