It's not the crime, it's the cover up. That has always been true. What did they know and when did they know it.

Corey Meyers broke University policy. He was gone. When and What did JJ know and how did he handle it.

The part I don't get, and the part which might bite Auburn hardest in the arse when all is said and done, is why was Corey allowed back in the fall when he resigned/was fired/whatever the hell it was? If the other players "went to bat for Corey", like Clint supposedly told them to, it shouldn't have mattered. If it was known that Corey violated University policy, then he should have been gone. Period.

Apparently, according to the story, the players recanted their story so that Corey could stay. At that point, a responsible AD should have stepped in and gotten to the bottom of this deal. I don't see how Jacobs or Jenkins survive this.
