I would be mad if I had a daughter in a school that took a guy like this just for the sake of sports

What is Wade doing about the sexual assault investigation?

There is no investigation, it was thrown out earlier this month.

Earlier this month, the Eugene Register-Guard reported Bigby-Williams would not face charges in the incident, which occurred at an apartment near Gillette College in Wyoming in September. The Register-Guard reported in June that Gillette College police asked University of Oregon police last fall to investigate the allegations against Bigby-Williams, who was not suspended by Oregon officials because there was “insufficient information to warrant interim action.” Gillette College Police Lt. Chad Trebby told the newspaper that a sexual assault report was sent to the Campbell County Attorney’s Office, but prosecutors decided not to pursue the matter. In an email to the Register-Guard, Gillette College spokeswoman Wendy Smith said the county attorney wouldn’t charge Bigby-Williams “after reviewing the case facts and consulting with the alleged victim and the investigating officers.” In a statement announcing the signing, Wade said LSU conducted a comprehensive review before approving the transfer. Included were “talks with Title IX officials, multiple discussions with Gillette College and Oregon officials and a thorough examination of available public records.” “This is an issue we all take seriously, and we made absolutely sure we did our due diligence before considering moving forward,” Wade said in the statement. “Kavell understands that and has made clear to me that he’s going to repay our confidence by representing LSU with his very best on and off the court.”

Those who throw stones...
We kicked him OUT of school. And there wasn't even enough evidence for the police to even open a formal legal investigation.
You guys are letting IN a guy that was under investigation for RAPE. Maybe they couldn't find enough to convict, but the fact that y'all are allowing a sexual predator into a place of higher learning just for the sake of maybe winning some basketball games is pretty sick. And he isn't even that good.
Are you really too dumb to know the difference between kicking somebody out and letting somebody in after the fact?

Whether this guy committed sexual assault or not, he still only averaged a whopping 3 points per game at Oregon. Don't get all the excitement

He was the sixth man on a Final 4 team and is a freak athlete that can defend well. If Gonzaga and Wichita wanted him, then it would be wise to take him

Also LSU is recruiting like crazy right now. We're not desperate to take a felon that isn't an offensive threat unless there was nothing substantial to the case.

He was the sixth man and only averaged 3 ppg? First guy off the bench should be getting way more than that.
And you're full of shite btw. He wasn't the sixth man.
He got 9.8 minutes per game.
He was 8th on Oregon in mpg, and it was a huge drop off from 7th to rapist at 8th.
#7 got 20.9 minutes per game. Over twice as much as rapey mcgee.
He was also 9th on the team in points per game
Sixth man my arse

lol at recruiting like crazy. You have a whopping 1 top 100 player in your 2017 class. That is out of a total of 5 commits.
You were making fun of Auburn earlier, but they have two top 100 players in their 2017 class. Those are the only two players in their class

You guys harbored a guy who committed rape and kicked him off when you found out he really did something wrong. Bigby-Williams did nothing wrong, hence nothing happened to him. The investigation found no evidence of wrong-doing. You understand every time someone accuses someone of something doesn't mean it's true, right?
Just find it funny once again you're trying to knock LSU for taking a guy who did nothing wrong (and allowed the investigation to complete before adding him) yet Auburn allowed a guy to stay on the team under investigation who later was kicked off because he did in fact rape a girl. You're a hypocrite, plain and simple. Will defend Auburn's rapist to the end but harp on a guy who was falsely accused of something.

He was playing behind one of the best front courts in the country. No shame in that for a newcomer. Not like he was playing behind guys who were bad or even average.

You are a moron. The guy you claimed Auburn harbored never played a game and he was kicked out of school a few weeks after the incident was brought to Auburn's attention. As soon as a reasonable investigation was completed. The kid still hasn't been found guilty by anyone outside of Auburn University itself

Wow you're dumb. Will Wade came here at the end of March...literally weeks before national signing day for the 2017 class. The entire 2017 class was made up of 2 players when he arrived, Galen Alexander and Brandon Rachal.
Wade has since secured:
- A Top 50 overall player in PG Tremont Waters who had offers from just about anyone and everyone
- He flipped PF Mayan Kiir from VCU who is a 4-star on 247 sports
- He landed JUCO SG Edwards who shot 46.6% from 3 last season, had offers from UNLV, Utah and ISU, and wa s aTop 25 overall JUCO player
- He secured grad transfer Jeremy Combs, a former all-conference PF from North Texas
- He secured grad transfer SG Randy Onwuasor, an all-conference player from Southern Utah
- He secured transfer PF/C Kavell Bigby-Williams, the former JUCO national player of the year from Oregon
All for the 2017 class alone. That's 6 guys in a matter of months for this class. 3 of those guys wont show up on the recruiting class because they are transfers but all have some nice accolades between 2 all conference players and a juco national player of the year. Bigby-Williams does have to sit out this season.
Not to mention he's secured 5-star PG Javonte Smart already for the 2018 class and we're likely to land 5-star PF Naz Reid as well down to his final 2. Wade's 2018 class will finish Top 10 in the country and possibly Top 5.
Yes, he's absolutely recruited like crazy since he got here less than 5 months ago.

They knew about it for a while before finally deciding to kick him off.

The Title IX investigation found him to be guilty, and he's barred from campus for the next 7 years. Not exactly the equivalent to a guy who was quite literally found guilty by nobody, case dismissed and Title IX found absolutely no wrong-doing. Not to mention Wade never added Bigby-Williams until all outlets deemed the accuser not credible. The other Auburn fan in the other thread was so ruined over this he said he would "remember it for years" (yes, that's how ruined he was LSU might take Bigby-Williams, ie, he wasnt even in the program yet). Now look what happened.

Glad to see you erased your highly embellished Hill comment.
In the end Auburn has zero room to try and talk about LSU taking a kid who in fact did not nothing wrong in Bigby-Williams. Your sh*t stinks too.
Also funny you couldn't respond to my other post about Wade's recruiting. Glad you see he has in fact busted his arse since arriving months ago. Unless you dont consider adding 7 players in 4 months busting arse.

lol at you talking about embellishing facts l. What I said about LSU letting Jeremy Hilly play many games after having sex with a 12 year old is a lot closer to the truth than the nonsense you have been trying to pass off. A hell of a lot worse too
Posted on 8/22/17 at 8:47 am to tGOAT
Oh yeah, maybe Auburn should have taken a team vote to see if the kid in question could stay. Kind of like LSU later did with Jeremy Hill
