How many passes ?

Auburn : 22.2 APG
Alabama : 27.8 APG

Wishbone teams looked good with that stat over the years.

Wishbone teams that were effective and had high YPA numbers also forced teams to not put 11 in the box. That was, you know, kind of the point.

White threw 208 passes last season, which was 13th in the SEC. He wasn't a threat to run the ball and he had arm strength issues all year.

Wishbone teams also had multiple options to run the ball in their backfield ( Auburn had one). Their YPAs were high because Defenses played 10 in the box with one on one on the WR.

Incredible - I don't remember reading any of this type of analysis during late October or early November last year.

Kerryon Johnson is now not an option in the backfield? Lawd, I hope Pettway doesn't get hurt again or Auburn is in deep shite.
