Agreed. You knew it was a big game when Keith and Coach Broyles were in the booth.

RIP Coach Broyles.

When the SEC network aired. I think his interview they did with him was the best thing I saw all day.

"He ruhhnnnsss a fo-fo fo-ty and has great speed to the outside, as well."

Odd he died just 12 days after Ara Parseghian considering they rotated as Keith Jackson's color analyst in the late '70s and into the early '80s at ABC.

RIP Coach. Lookout for the Hogs from above.

i mean, did we not just pick up two "auburn-style" wins from above? When they went to the title game last, didnt they win 0 games the year before? It's gonna be a huge turnaround divine intervention type year for the Hogs now.

1969 Texas-Arkansas game is 2nd best game of all time (IMO) behind the '73 Sugar Bowl (ND-Bama). Arkansas led 14-0 in the fourth quarter before Texas came back to win 15-14.
The teams were undefeated and ranked #1 and 2 in the polls.
I always felt sorry for Coach Broyles after that game even though we were pulling for Texas. In those days my Dad pulled for Texas since Coach Darrell Royal had coached at MState in the early 50's and was still well liked here in Mississippi.
President Nixon attended the game which was in Fayetteville and was the last game of the year. Texas later won the Cotton Bowl and was the NC that year.
Had Arkansas won, I do believe they would have won the CB as well and would have been the NC. They were the two best teams in the nation that year.

RIP Coach. I always liked him as a coach and he was a good announcer too.

Frank Broyles was a great Razorback and a great Yellow Jacket. May he rest in peace.
