Primarily due to free speech and equal protection under the law. But that must not apply to people that "deserve it" like white supremacists.

I guess you're safe as long as the mob and the media don't think you "deserve it".

You really need to take a break and think this through. You're smarter than this.

What happens when the violent mob of anti-protestors are turned loose on you and your group because you "deserve it"?

You give him and far too many Americans too much credit. Far too many of our citizens, thanks to our education system, are incapable of critical thinking. They also will not venture outside of their comfort zone, their areas of confirmation bias. They only see what they want to see, completely missing the wizard behind the curtain that is manipulating them and almost every situation. They have been reduced to being nothing more than a tool within the machine.

People need to wake up and open their eyes but I doubt they ever do. Simple psychology tells is it is much easier to accept things you Want to believe and ignore that which you don't.

People ... Confirmation Bias is Real. It affects all of your beliefs and opinions. Only when you accept that as true can you move beyond it.

Cognitive Dissonance is also true. Don't discredit things just because it makes you uncomfortable or you do not want to believe they are true.

This goes for everyone, on both sides of any argument.

Last point ... if you think the silencing and oppression of unpopular opinions is good for any society, you have little understanding of history.
