Trump just went full Trump on the media noting that there were violent bad people on both sides, including the alt left...and club wielding leftists also carry the blame for what happened...
AND noted that everyone there weren't white nationalists or Nazis ... some good people just wanted to peacefully protest the removal of the Lee statue and they're not all evil..
...then he goes with the should we tear down statues of Washington? Jefferson? They were slave owners too....

Let's try this a new way:
Imagine that a group of blacks applied for a permit to hold a rally in Charlottesville for black pride. If they decided to openly carry guns for self-defense, that wouldn't just be a wise thing to do, it would be perfectly legal in Virginia.
Now let's say that a group of neo-nazis doesn't like the fact that the blacks are going to be rallying. And so they vow to disrupt their rally and shut it down. If they show up with their baseball bats and start blocking traffic, or try to disrupt the rally or intimidate the blacks, or otherwise disturb the peace, that's called rioting with deadly weapons. And its a Class 5 felony in Virginia.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmbeer, This is the exact same scenario that happened Saturday. Do you believe that blacks shouldn't have the right to carry guns for self-defense?.......Do you believe that neo-nazis have the right to run around with baseball bats trying to intimidate, disrupt and shut down black pride rallies?

I can only say, HOLY FRICK, the other Yankee state just to my north, Massachusetts- you may of heard of it JD. Cradle of liberty, site of the American Revolution, FREEDOM, LIBERTY- all that happy horseshite. The mayor of Boston and the "Republican" governor both said that alt right groups are "not welcome in our city."
Isn't that nice? Boston Common- public park where blood was shed to create the Constitution- but don't assemble here according to your first amendment right.

If a group of "socialists" was marching to a rally, and a group of "alt Right" neo-Nazis charged at them or violence otherwise erupted as they encountered each other, would you be condemning the neo-Nazis...or the police for not doing a better job managing the situation?
Hell no...some of you would be applauding that a bunch of commie pinkos got their arses beat!
Trump was asked today: Do you put white supremacists on the same "moral plane" as people who oppose white supremacy and anti-Antisemitism? He refused to answer that question...but by not "taking a side," he gave his answer.
If you sympathize with the positions of the people marching with the tiki torches, why not own up? Certainly no one here's going to care!

Well, if nobody was there counter-protesting, they would have no one to be violent towards. All they want is attention. If you ignore them they will go back to irrelevance.
The only reason the counter protesters were there was to cause conflict. Not that they deserved to be killed for it, though.
