It's not all that unusual for guys to improve their BB/9 over their first few years. I personally see Newcomb has a good 3/4 guy in a rotation, not a frontline starter. If we can get him down to 3-4 BB per start, we'll be in good shape.
I'd be ecstatic if we got Folty type improvement in that front.
