Freeze had pretty much brought Ole Miss back. No one wanted to touch that.

But they could've come forward well before Hugh got the Ole Miss job. I'm in college, so I don't have my own kids, but if someone molested one of my nieces, I would work day and night to get that person to prison.

If I couldn't get him to prison, I'd take a shotgun and blow his brains out. I damn sure wouldn't let that guy become even a position coach at any SEC school.

If it was statutory rape but consensual the victim may have not realized they were a victim until way later. Even then the parents might have been persuaded to drop it in order to protect their daughter's reputation.

I imagine that would be a tough decision that in the moment seems best but later they regret not going public, especially when they find out it wasn't an isolated incident. And by then it's too late.

The girls themselves may not realize they are a victim until years later when they have better perspective and learn that they (along with many others) were used for sex by a position in authority.
