Nutt filed a defamation lawsuit against ole miss and evidently his legal team used the foia to get his phone records which led to this coming (pun intended) out.

i could be wrong but i think it has to do with escorts... then again i did only learn my sleuth skills by tracking carmen sandiego in third grade

"Nutt" is code for a call to an escort service. Duh.

The irony there is amazing.

Yes, it truly is- I wonder if Nutt suggested it himself. I guess you can say he learned from his previous incident.

So freeze getting caught here is a direct result of nutts attorneys showing the phone records?

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if it was Nutt's idea, lol. I could see that being his first idea too...."I called that foi, brother!"

From the Nutt lawsuit, right before he threatens the university with the "embarrassing phone calls." :
“It is common knowledge among sports journalists that Coach Freeze does not take kindly to criticism,” the filing reads. “Since the moment the NCAA investigation was first made public, Coach Freeze has distinguished himself from other Division I head football coaches by (a) exhibiting features that are massively defensive, (b) going to extraordinary lengths through social media and otherwise to promote his self-image as a deeply spiritual Godly man who’s done nothing wrong and being persecuted.”
Savage.

Maybe a Hog fan can correct me, but wasn't Nutt let go at Arkansas after FOIAs from fans showed him sending hundreds of texts to a certain female reporter during halftime?

That is correct and what makes the irony here so damn entertaining.

Nutt requested Freeze phone records of a certain 6 day period. In that 6 days they found 1 call of Freeze to an escort service. Freeze said it was a misdial. They were buying that then they went digging more and found a "pattern." They didn't want to go into more details about the "pattern". Told Freeze either resign or be fired. Freeze resigned. He is getting no buyout money.
