There were probably more minorities and kids on financial aid than there were in the late 90s/early aughts, but it was still a predominantly white boy prep school while I was there. I'm a few years younger, but I would've been sitting on the chapel balcony when you had mock graduation. It is crazy how well MUS has competed for a small prep school. I still can't believe they beat a 2000s South Panola team in Batesville. It's one of the few times where the team was clearly outmatched but still came away with the W. I remember in 2006, everyone in high school just assumed we'd be hot shite, as spoiled privileged high school kids who'd just watched their school win consecutive titles are wont to do. We played some team in Alabama that played (maybe beat?) Hoover of MTV's Two-a-Days fame. The Bama team was clearly a completely different level of competition, and we got waxed by more than 30 iirc. I think that was the only year during my time we finished under .500 while I was there though
