Badly,too. Now before I go any further I know full well that A&M defeated LSU in '74 and '75.

But I remember at the end of both seasons ABC showing their season ending games on TV with the Cotton Bowl on the line and Texas winning,32-3 in '74 and Arkansas 31-6 in '75. Arkie came wound up costing them a NC.

Still.........he had some fine squads.

You just described why he left.

texashorn doesn't know shite. No one cared that he coached under Royal. In fact, Royal was the "gold standard" in the SWC at that time. And the total opposite was true. He was hired because he was a Royal disciple.

I will always have a warm spot in my heart for Emory. He defenses were pretty salty as well. He also got blown out in a big match-up against Michigan on national tv.
