...if we win 5 or 6 games this season?

No doubt. And no problem with Shreveport either. The Nome Bowl (AK) airfare maybe be too expensive for me.

5 no, 6 depends on where.

I probably wouldn't want to go anywhere where a bowl for a 5 or 6 win team would be invited. I've been to Shreveport before, but stayed and partied with a friends family (LSU fans) if it wasn't for them i wouldn't have wanted to have gone.

...and I wonder why they say Mizzou fans don't travel well?
I remember the year we beat Kansas(football) and they got the Orange Bowl and Mizzou played in the Cotton Bowl vs Arkie. The word was that Kansas got the Orange Bowl and we didn't were because Mizzou fans don't travel well.

I apologize for not wanting to spend my hard earned dollars on a 5 or 6 win team in the cities of Shreveport or Birmingham.
If this makes me a crappy Mizzou fan than so be it. I'll just keep spending the money i currently spend to go to 5 or 6 games (while driving 6 hours to just get to the home games) that I go to annually. I have better things to spend money on than mediocre football.

kansas doesnt travel at all, let alone "poorly" for football.

Hate to say it, but Kansas traveled well for their Orange Bowl. I'm not knocking posters on this forum for not supporting a 6 win team, because of my back problems and coming from Cali unless they somehow change the affiliation to the Rose Bowl(B10 vs PAC) I can't go either.
Still, with saying all this, Mizzou fans still don't travel well.

Any fan base would travel well for the orange bowl. Mizzou fans would travel great to a championship game. thats unlike the sec championship game, in which we would still have to play another game.
Im saying for an average road game, mizzou is on a whole nother level above kansas. and its always been that way

I live in Texas so if they make any of those bowls or Shreveport then I'm there!

I'm in.....I went to the Citrus Bowl a few years ago. Enjoyed it very much! Met lots of nice folks from Missouri and Minnesota.

Yes, but the question was a 5 or 6 win team, which the Citrus wouldn't be an option.

I'm trying to do one SEC road game per year. Bowl games don't do anything for me unless it's a prestigious bowl. I'm not going to Poulan/Weedeater Bowl and I'm not going to the TaxSlayer bowl and I'm not going to the Sun Bowl.

I guarantee you they would have traveled for the Orange Bowl. That argument holds water for ho hum bowls but not something like that.

Yeah, I skip my own kid's games if they're in the consolation championship game. Not likely to go to a consolation bowl short of something special drawing me to it.

I enjoyed the bowl game. Now if I have to go to Yankee stadium for the pin stripe bowl, I'll probably pass. My idea of a bowl game is in a warmer climate!

We didn't travel well for the SEC championship games. I know bama and auburn were within a couple hundred miles but brownmajic is right, we don't really trael well. And we wouldn't have travelled well for the orange bowl. That said, they picked kansas for that game because their fans travel better(starvation will do that), which is bullshite. We were the better team that year and should have played in the orange bowl.

We had a pretty good showing in 13, all things considered.
I was there. I'd say about 65-35 Auburn which isn't bad considering they have about 1.5 drive.
But yeah, Mizzou just doesn't have the fan base that traditional powers do. I'm less concerned with traveling to low level bowl games than I am with traveling to Columbia.
