Fitz improved throughout the year. Yes he was garbage against USA but it was his first start, first game of the year. His passing was underrated because our WR's outside Ross were just not very good. This years group should have stickier fingers.

Believe it or not, the game that turned Fitzgerald's into something good was the beat down at Bama (51-3). We got killed. Fitz, however never gave up or in despite the beating he took. He earned his teammates respect after that. That even we were getting blown out, he never quit. So sometimes something good comes out of something bad.
Previous to that, he had put up stats and won a few games i.e. USCe, A&M but had not really won the team over until that game.

I think Patterson has a lot of upside and will play well for OM this year but I am glad we have Fitz on our squad.
