I've been stationed at a military base that has significantly fewer people there than 8,100, but I guarantee you've heard of Fort Leavenworth. Their population is only 5,383 Active Duty.

Other well-known bases:

Ft. Meade - 9,350
Ft. Polk - 8,000-9,000
Ft. Rucker - 4,659
Ft. Huachuca - 5,600

By the way, if we're going by ACTIVE DUTY population, Schriever only has about 1,600 active duty, so which is it? Total Population or active duty?
