Sounds like a pretty good living to me if you can endure the brutal winters. Probably make more up there than taking some other job. I think the season is over by October or November, so maybe some of those guys move back to the US in the winter. Seems like none of those players never even get a chance to make it to the NFL. Flutie and Moon are the only names I can think of that made it.

Yes, not many start in the CFL, then move to the NFL. Besides Flutie and Moon, Quarterbacks Jeff Garcia and Joe Thiesmann began their careers in the CFL.

There are more NFLers who end their careers up north. But even for good ex-NFL guys, it's also difficult to catch on due to the quota of non-Canucks allowed on each team.

ETA: As far as weather, Hamilton, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal are all farther south than here in Minnesota. And BC is milder, too. But, yeah, our winters can be a little cool some days.

EETA: As for the roster quota, a team may have 44 players. A minimum of 21 must be nationals (Canadians)
