So I come to this board for legit Rebel talk without the maroon morons nor the in-bred coonass and hillbilly asshats trolling the tRant. That being said we have no serious threads going over here about the responses to the NOA. I have read most of the stuff out there and quite frankly am a tad shocked for the following reasons:
- The fact that the NCAA took items from the first NOA that were level 2 or 3 and bumped them to level 1 looks bad on their part. I think they did that in an effort to seek the LOIC and now 4 show causes.
- If the coaches have documentation of their actions, especially CHF, then I would think that would have a huge impact on the outcome. From the responses fromCHF and CMH it looks like they do have this documentation.
- Bamey's response is rather shocking but my question is can he provide documentation of these conversations. I know in my business whenever I get a feeling that someone has their "hand out" if I type of a memo on my computer immediately afterwards and "lock" the document by not allowing editing it goes a long way in covering me from prosecution.
- The biggest issue are the interviews of SA 39 & 40. From what I have read it seems cut and dry that their testimony should be thrown out. I mean the Rebel Rag stuff is beyond damning in the fact their stories changed, were denied by numerous people including their own families and were factually wrong on numerous items (anti-theft devices, gift cards & see Emily).
My question is the COI a kangaroo court? Where no matter what, you are guilty. Or will they actually allow the lawyers present the facts and then decide? Even if the COI a kangaroo court can we sue because based upon what I have read if there is valid documentation that the University has a great case in a Court of Law.

The responses completely dismantled the NCAA's arguments on several key charges and calls into question the motives behind the investigation. It sets up MSU and possibly other schools for investigations of their own. COI will be a kangaroo court but now with the understanding that Ole Miss will sue the NCAA (ala Miami) due to them not following their own procedures for investigations.
Ole Miss has faced a significant image hit and multiple year recruiting losses. They can easily make a case that they played by the rules but the leaks that were coming through from the media, the conflicts of interest with the investigators and some high ranking NCAA personell, show the NCAA was out to get us. I think this has played about as good as we could hope. This was a really good response.
MSU fans should be shaking in their boots for the investigation that is about to happen.

I don't give a shite about all this NCAA stuff. I haven't kept up with it since it started. Either way we're screwed. Now let's beat LSU and MSU.
