Can you actually find me a quote from that insider that says we're a "clear favorite", because this is probably a case of an insider saying that "coaches feel good" or something even more bland that people take and run with.

IIRC this was around the time of the opening, right after Fields made his run of visits, and there was a rumor that Fields was going to commit at that event. Just because some people thought he might commit at that time doesn't mean they were saying we were the clear favorite.

Bulldog Bob has definitely not said that we are a clear favorite for Fields, the furthest anybody on the Rivals board is willing to go is to say that "UGA coaches feel good" or "I like the spot we're in" which is probably the same exact thing insiders for the other 3 finalists have been saying since he decommitted.

So to summarize, nobody who actually knows what they're talking about has said that UGA is a clear favorite.
