Recruiting rankings are fake. NFL draft picks are a better way to gage elite talent.

South Carolina has way more elite NFL players than Tennessee.

Missippi is on par with Tennessee with almost half the population.

Tennessee talent is not really improving. Middle Tennessee talent has, but West Tennessee talent has declined.

So much bs in one post but I'll deal with this one specifically. Middle and East, TN talent is improving. West, TN talent is about the same as it ever was.

Well that's great fam, but most of the guys that we're talking about are still in college or just got out. Tennessee has just started to pass these other states within the last 5 years.

Blah, blah, See above.

Mississippi isn't on par with Tennessee and that's already been proven. Available players.

Ray Charles could see that thats a bold face lie. The talent in state is exploding and no where more than Nashville as it continues to boom. There are 9 4* players from the Nashville metro, 4 from the Memphis metro, and 1 from East TN in the early 2019 rankings. That's almost unheard of and that's coming off classes before it that we're considered some of the deepest TN has ever had. There is no denying the numbers. You come off salty because you're in the middle of all of these elite players and by and large the vast majority of them don't want to play for you.

Just in the 2017 NFL Draft UT sent 3 from Middle TN within the first 4 rounds. Derek Barnett, Josh Malone, and Jalen Reeves Maybin. Jalen Hurd would have went went as well if he had been getting better advice from his counsel and not transfering out. Jalen Ramsey just got taken before them and is playing in the league. And those are just the guys from the Nashville metro within the last few years. Tennessee will have several more players from the mid state get taken in the Draft over the next few years to add to the list.

Also, the talent in East Tennessee while not nearly as good as Middle and West is starting to get stronger as well. The Knoxville metro has put out a 5* player in each of the last 2 classes and several 4* players to go along with them. Bryn Tucker who is a OT in 2020 from Knox Catholic looks like he will be another 5* from Knoxville to add to the list.

Times are changing gents. You can get on here and get all mad about it and come off like a dumb arse similar to what you're doing, scrooster. Or you can look at the numbers. It's up to you. In 5-10 years time when all of these guys from the state of TN start getting out of college and hitting the league the number of NFL players from TN are going to shoot way up.
