Mack played just 15 games at Texas last season and was suspended indefinitely in mid-January. When on the court, Mack was quite productive, averaging 14.8 points, while shooting 39.1-percent from three and reeling in 4.8 rebounds.
Mack, who averaged 5.1 points a game as a freshman, will be forced to sit out this coming season, before having two years of eligibility at Alabama.
Avery Johnson is all about heppin the youth

I was hoping we'd have a chance to get him since we were one of his finalists when he was in HS, bit we were never really in on it.
Definitely a little bit of a head case, but also a really talented player who can spread the floor. Great get.

Damn. Avery is gonna make Bama basketball become legit the next couple of seasons for sure. You guys and aTm were really only a PG away from being pretty good last season.

Someone said it on the Bama basketball thread already, but his FT% probably made his choice a little easier

If this works out and he can keep out of trouble, it will be a nice pickup.
He went to high school 5 minutes from Colonial Life Arena. For some reason, Frank Martin never really pursued him heavily.

This dude was thuggin out hardcore when we played Texas. He tried to fight our starting lineup, and he loves to celebrate EVERY bucket he makes.

14.8 points
That would have been Alabama's leading scorer last year.

39.1-percent from three
Would have been Alabama's best 3 point shooter last year (of any guys who shoot a meaningful volume)

If Sexton returned for a second year, we'd have the most hated backcourt in the country. Not necessarily because of talent, but because of "showmanship".

Good pickup. Super talented player, and if he can keep his head right, will be a good one.
