Is Jalen Hurts a 4 year QB?

I'm curious as to see how the rest of the rant sees Hurts as a pro prospect and a college player alike. Obviously he's not as much a passer as he is a runner/improviser. But does his skill set and measurables perhaps eventually land him to an early exit from the program? And no, I'm not a Tua fanatic and don't think there's a chance in hell he starts until at LEAST his junior year.
Jalen Hurts isn't necessarily your prototypical QB measurable wise either. He's not short, but he hovers around the low 6'/high 5' range. I see his career being somewhat like Tebow's as far as length. Obviously not near the amount of press and talent, but you get what I'm saying. I personally don't even think he gets drafted at a QB if he ends up being a decent passer in the future with the deep ball. More so like a RB version of that freshman bastard WR from Clemson. Forgot his name already.

No. Tua is already more polished than that scrub that cost Bama a championship.

His throwing will need to improve a lot for him to leave early.

His passing will improve enough for him to be a very solid college QB.
I doubt he is ever a good enough passer to be a NFL QB.

According to most bama fans he has totally fixed his passing ability the last 4 months. This should be his last season.

Very much this. If Tua is as good as advertised, he's probably playing RB by the time he enters the draft anyway.

A significant portion of the fan base still shits on him and believes Tua has a shot so I don't know where you got "most" from.

Freshman to Sophmore is a big jump. Way too early to write the guy off.

Maybe, but if Jalen comes out and throws the ball at an average to above average rate and does the same things he did last year in terms of everything else, it's going to be hard to put him on the bench.
If he comes out and is spraying the ball high and left and right then Tua might get a chance.
I've said all along I expect a Lamar Jackson freshman to sophomore year change in passing from Jalen. He won't be Tom Brady, but I expect him to be better down the field and average from 10-20 yards. He'll still throw some dirt devils, but he won't be a step behind mentally like he was as a true freshman last year (and like Tua will be if he plays this year).

quote:Tua has a weak arse arm and was under zero pressure in a spring game. His mechanics are shite, footwork is shite, but he does have a nice touch pass within 20 yards. Thats it.

Hurts is a threat to run and has a decent deep ball. Average Qb in my book.

Was the spring game theoretical? Did it not actually happen? Why are there quotations around it?
I watched it. Tua looked ok, he's a talented kid. He made some nice throws. He's a true freshman, I hope he doesn't have to play.
Your observations, however, are typical. And laughable.

Let me guess, Stidham is the next Joe Montana? Or are you still pimping the Sean White train like you did for the last 24 months?
Probably just the 2 best QBs in America amirite?

Stidham may well have a trophy with his name on it at Auburn after this year
