Steel is pretty much at the tallest point on the NEZ now. The elevator towers on the ends of the existing structure will close it in even more.

The structure for the NEZ jumbotron is going up now.

There will be two big screens this season.

Jesus. Yocum and Humphreys aged like milk while Founders aged like wine. That's why I'm skeptical about all these new, box-shaped buildings in the "modern" architectural world.

The one in the picture is Gregson Lodge. Founders Hall wasn't built in that picture.

The long-term plan has been to destroy the modernist ones and replicate Gregson and Founders on that plateau, unless the Marlon Blackwell hordes get their way.

Most modernism sucks. Earlier intnerational style modernism isn't all that bad. Those really aren't terribe as far as 1960s "high rise" dorms go. Sun-shades and big windows to take in the hill-country view.

frick, you're right. Founders is relatively new. If they bulldozed Yocum and Humphreys and put in a couple of 10-story Founders-style buildings, that would be awesome. Would match the terrain so much better than those two that look like they came straight from North Korea.

There is a sense of pride to it, i promise you that. We may not have the biggest, but we will get quite a bit of envy from the cousins. It's a dope lil joint.
