US needs to reinstitute the old SAC Chrome dome missions.

Using the military to fly by Sarah Palin's window for some naked cougar shots?

They just like to remind us and the world that they still have nuclear muscle to flex. I kind of understand why he done it.

Before Monday's flight near Alaska, the last time Russian bombers flew near the U.S. was July 4, 2015, when a pair of Russian bombers flew off the coasts of Alaska and California, coming as close as 40 miles to Mendocino, Calif.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called then-President Barack Obama to wish him a happy Independence Day while the bombers cruised the California coastline.

Absolutely. We were stuck with freaking Obama who was weak as frick with our military and Putin pimp slapping him like that was embarrassing. We have too many pussies in our country for our guy to get away with what Putin stands for. I admire Putin because he doesn't give a frick what anybody thinks. Check out his policy on Muslims or of foreigners coming to Russia expecting them to speak their language.

You people who love Putin are just weird. He's not cool. He's a murderous dictator.

He's mostly bluster who likes to play macho headgames to get what he wants. He put his dog in the room with Angela Merkel knowing full well that she has a crippling phobia of dogs. Some people thought it was a "boss move" but Ms. Merkel said it best. Something along the lines of "It's all he has. Russia's economy is weak, his country is weak, and all he has left is this kind of game."
SLAM by Angela Merkel (whose country is not coincidentally far more economically relevant than Mother Russia.

Russia knows the only them keeping them and their military relevant is their nuclear arsenal

It's funny but he could never lead America. It's a different game here. Putin leading America is a square peg in a round hole. It's as crazy as imagining Trump leading Russia, or Obama, no one would take them seriously. They need Putin in order for that to happen. Obama was a ""white flag"" and Trump is a middle finger. Sounds like 'ol Puts has Japan pretty worked up, though. I honestly don't know what our relationship with Japan is right now but as an American when I read that I felt the want for us to aid them. We owe them as much.
Just my two cents.
As far as flying by Alaska, good. It will keep the Candadians good and involved. Pretty crazy the flight from Russia to Alaska was 5 hours round trip.

Those dogs are pretty intense really. Obama had a couple. I think those things can actually smell fear and hostility. Maybe even misdirection.

Yea, and then be trained to let everyone know about it. It's like, don't even sweat if you're trying to push the prez around while meeting in the oval office if you don't have a stacked deck.

To those of us that grew up in the 70s and 80s, this is such ado about nothing.
Back then, these flights and intercepts were a daily happening and literally nobody cared.

Relevant as it pertains to the United States but they would still be more than a handful for most any other country. Of course with all those damn nukes and the capability to deliver them from land, air or sea, it makes them quite a bit more than relevant to everybody.
