One could argue that Rooker is putting together the best all around single season in the SEC in the modern era...

OK, now one may say, "Surely those stats are padded by non conference games". Well, check out his conference only stats. Remember, MLB scouts compare SEC weekend pitching talent to that of AA. Each weekend in the SEC, a batter will face a handful of guys that have either already been drafted in the top 5 rounds, or will be:
Brent Rooker's SEC only stats(through 15 games):
-Batting Average: (.415)
-Slugging Percentage: (1.038)
-On Base Percentage: (.522)
-OPS: (1.560)
-Hits: (22)
-Doubles: (7)
-Triples: (1)
-Home Runs: (8)
-RBI: (21)
-Runs Scored: (14)
-Total Bases: (55)
-Walks: (11)
For those of you that understand the above numbers, how incredibly absurd is a slugging percentage of 1.038 through 15 SEC games?? OPS? 1.560???? Get this, through 15 SEC games, 16 of his 22 hits have gone for extra bases! That's almost 4 total bases per SEC game, and over 2 runs accounted for. Per SEC game!
Now if only my Bravos will do the right thing and draft Brent Rooker with their 1st round pick. Nah... let's add another upside starting pitcher! sigh...

He's ok. Not really thread-worthy IMO

Where do those numbers fall historically?
I think we'll draft an OF this year but I'm guessing it'll be a toolsy HS kid like Beck or Adell.

He's not even leading the league in triples. He sucks

Seems like you need to be comparing him to Palmeiro in his best season.

We will trade you Mainieri for Cannizaro...

You guys are the ones that should appreciate it. He's probably worth ten wins for y'all so far. I'm jealous as hell because he'd be worth nearly that many more for us as well.

Solid year at the plate. But how is he in the field?

Those are fantastic numbers for the halfway point of the conference season. Without checking, he is probably ahead of Andrew Benintendi's stats in 2015 for the Hogs. Andrew almost single handed got the Hogs to Omaha that season and won the Golden Spikes Award.
But remember, there are many games left to be played. Keeping up that kind of pace will not be easy or likely.
