The officiating sucked.

This happens when Huskies, they have had the refs for the past 10 - 20 years. Generally if Mattingly or Kanter are calling a game you are screwed if you are not Connecticut or an ACC team (generally UNC and Duke, but Notre Dame has benefitted from their ACC membership).

State's 6-7 center had two ticks tack could in the first couple of minutes that caused her to sit.

Not like Connecticut needs the help as they have Geno and ESPN behind them but this is standard fare in teams facing Huskies. Angel @ Line Beards felt this in their Final Four with Huskies. Mathis @ Cats got the same treatment when they plated Huskies for a trip to the Final Four. By the end of the game the fouls can look really lopsided for Uconn but even when they do not, top players of opponents will have early foul trouble till they are no longer effective.

ESPN announcers cheered them on.

Been that way for ages and until ESPN starts giving the rest of the country the same positive coverage they give Huskies and ACC it will be hard for parity to make the game more popular across the USA.

It was a attempt to steal a game. It backfired, but it was still an attempt to steal the game.

Interesting as seems Mattingly and Kanter were not officiating and Huskies lost.

Nobody is saying Geno is a bad coach or Huskies are not a viable team but when the media and refs are on their side it really does hamper the overall enjoyment of the game.
