All of a sudden, with 3/4 20 win seasons, we as fans are expecting to be some powerhouse

I don't agree with that at all. Nobody thinks we're supposed to be a "powerhouse", but we're damn sure capable of getting better results than we are. I think most of our fans with fairly reasonable expectations would like to see some combination of the following:

-Make the NCAAT once every 3/4 years. This is a box that Fox can technically check off since he has done that, but it's worth nothing that with teams that he himself recruited he has 1 appearance in the last 6 years.
-If we make the tourney, just win 1 game! Fox has not done that.
-If we can't make the tourney and settle for the NIT, at least make a run. Fox has never won more than 1 NIT game. In 2 of this 3 NIT losses we were the higher seeded team.

It is not a stretch at all to expect the above. We aren't still feeling the Harrick sanctions. We aren't still dealing with Felton's shortcomings. We have aboslutely nothing to blame our shortcomings on other than the current coach, period.

Nobody is expecting us to be elite.

Except me.

Given time. Get the right coach, win some games, get the mo going, the fans will come and the money will follow. UGA can be one of the best jobs in the nation. There are many stories about coaches that have turned around programs to be enormous successes that no one thought they could do.

It can be done.

Agree with your assessment and those are reasonable if not low expectations especially considering the wealth of in-state talent. The situation is not unlike football but with tempered expectations since we do not have the same tradition in basketball compared to football. Find a coach that reels in the cream of the crop of talent in the state of Georgia and our competitiveness would be transformed.
