Monk is the best high school player Arkansas has ever had. His brother that played football, didn't make it in the NFL, came back and played basketball for the Hogs. Everyone couldn't wait to see Little Bro in a Hogs uniform. The Monk's were part of the Razorback family. If he had gone to Kansas, Duke, UNC, etc that would have been better, but Kentucky is Arky's rival in basketball. Arkansas coaching staff consists of former players, whom hanged out with the Monk's. Its called passion for our team.

Lot of players in the NBA either went to a small school like Davidson or Weber State, or went straight from high school.
The NBA doesn't just take Kentucky players.
